YOU ARE INVITED to join us October 5-6, 2019 for the “VARA HPDE”. The two day school will be held at Buttonwillow Raceway Park as a part of our Oktoberfest Sports Car Races event. The curriculum will include classroom sessions, skid pad, braking, and lots of track time. There will be multiple levels of instruction from beginner to veteran with many of VARA’s top drivers.
NOW IS THE TIME! If you would like to see what vintage racing is all about, or have a friend or neighbor that has always wanted to give it a try, please pass along the information. THIS MAKES A GREAT GIFT! A perfect opportunity to share your passion for the sport of Vintage Racing. This event is not a race, it is a school.
Remember the University of VARA counts as two weekends toward your VARA competition racing license. This License is recognized by all major racing clubs.

The curriculum will include classroom sessions, skid pad,
braking, and lots of track time.

This school is open to both street cars and race cars.
Though the licensing program is only available to Race
prepped cars, both will enjoy professional instruction
with lots of track time and one on one in car instruction.

You can rent a Toyota pro-celebrity race car
(used in the Long Beach grand prix) for less than you may think.

SIGN UP EARLY. The HPDE can only accept a limited number of entries.

The entry fee is only $395.00 which includes a weekend membership
​
We welcome you to join VARA for a membership fee of only $135.
This entitles you to all VARA’s racing event information. A Physical exam is not
required for the University. You can join VARA right on the HPDE Entry Form.
​
Registration and Tech will be at the track Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.
All cars must be teched including street cars.

Buttonwillow Racetrack is 135 miles from LAX Airport ,

Camping is permitted at the track.
